\nTo help celebrate\, instructor Kathy McLaughlin\, is challenging students\, ages 8-12\, to let out their inner creative beast in this new two-part workshop on Saturday\, April 17 and 24\, from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at Town Square! ($25 class fee includes two workshops and materia l costs.)
\nStudents will learn how to use various mediums and techn iques including wood\, paint\, beads\, buttons\, sharks teeth\, and more\, to design their fierce mixed media portrait inspired by their favorite an imal or pet. Kids will build their works of art on a 12″ x 16″ canvas and use an assortment of materials to create a fantastical background. Once th e setting for their animal is complete\, students will paint and embellish to enhance their creature.
