| Greetings from Green Lake Wisconsin! 12/4/2002

It was snowing today in Beautiful Green Lake, which is just the perfect setting to get us into the mood for our "Christmas By The Lake" Celebration this Sat., Dec. 7th. Our Chamber is now decorated for the season, along with Santa's Candy Cane House, which is pictured here. Can you see him in his house? His two helpers are standing by the door while the lady in red is taking a picture of someone on Santa's lap. Santa will be arriving this year by horse & wagon at 10:00 a.m. His first stop will be at the Candy Cane House to greet all the children and hand out a special treat. His next stop will be at Caestecker Library for Story Time with the Elves at 10:30 a.m. From 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. all are invited to join Santa for lunch at the Gooseblind where he will listen to your special Christmas wishes. Back to his house from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for picture taking. He would love to have a picture taken with you and/or your pet. That is just Santa's agenda, so you know that there will be much to do for everyone. Visit Thrasher Opera House for the Festival of Wreaths, Silent Auction, and Live Music. Then take a stroll to City Hall for the Yule Market (there will be free samples), Christmas Sweet Shop (homemade goodies), Folk Fair (featuring Anthony Costanza, America's Master Woodcarver), and Raffle (a change to win a Giant Christmas Stocking and/or Golf Pack for 4). You will still have time to stop at the unique Shoppe's in Green Lake for drawings, refreshments, and to get that special gift for Christmas. Stay until 5:00 p.m. for the "Peace Around the World" Tree Lighting Cermeony & Community Caroling. We hope that you can make it to Green Lake and join in this Holiday Celebration with us.
We are still working on our Winterfest Event (Feb 8 & 9, 2003) with Volleyball, Ice Carving, Ice Bowling, Ice Golf, a Fisheree, Games, Food, Refreshments, and much more. It really does looks like this year will be bigger and better than it has been in years. The fliers should be done soon, so if you would like more information please let us know and we will send you a flier.
Don't forget that you are always welcome here in Green Lake at anytime. There is always something to do and/or see. Besides our events we have many great places to shop, dine, stay, and just enjoy!
Take care and hope to see you soon! |
