The May 3rd Great City Wide Garage Sale seemed like a great success. Green Lake was filled with lucky seller & shoppers.
Update on what our Chamber Committees are doing (Please, remember that these are only some of our Committees)…
Summer Solstice: Our poster and fliers should be done soon. As always if you would like one please let us know by sending us your mailing address. We have updated the information on Summer Solstice on our website. Check it out by clicking on Summer Solstice under Other events that are coming up...!
Recreation and Resource: The new Bike Maps are available and can even be downloaded from our website under Map/Biking. If you would like an original the cost is $1.00. It is well worth it according to some of the bikers that have purchased them. They are available at the Chamber Office; stop in when you are in town. Yes, this is a repeat from last month's Newsletter, but biking is getting to be more and more popular and we want everyone to have this information. Also, it may change some minds into using those biking skills again.
“Concerts in the Park”: Enlosed is a picture of how it may look at one of our concerts. We cannot wait until the first concert of 2003 starts on June 25th with the Fox River String Band. The posters are in the works, so those should be available soon. This year we also have a poster for our Family Picnic Night to let everyone know what's on the menu and to remind everyone that part of the UW Marching Band will be here performing from 5:30-6:00 p.m. before the concert. Donate $8.00 ($1.00 per concert) to "Concerts in the Park" and receive an "I Helped Support Green Lake's 2003 Concert Series" button.
Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration: Motto this year is "Let Freedon Ring", which is on our fundraising buttons for fireworks this year, which you can purchase for a $25.00 or more donation to the Green Lake Fund. This is a fun filled day with Breakfast in the morning, parade in the afternoon, fireworks at night with games, music, food, and refreshments throughout the day.
Please Don’t Forget--besides events we do have many great sights to enjoy & places to shop, dine, stay, and play.
Until next time, take care & we hope to see you soon! |
