February 2004

Hello from Green Lake Wisconsin! 2/25/2004

We could not have asked for better weather for Winterfest.  We had snow, ice, and around 30 degree temperatures.  Our 2004 Miss Winterfest is Alex Gutierrez. Included is her picture, so you will know her when you see her at some upcoming events in Green Lake.  We thank everyone who was able to join in making our first event of the year a success.

Last days of February and there are still February specials to take advantage of, just click on Romantic Getaway Month/February Specials.  If anyone has been able to take advantage of the many other specials that were offered, please let us know if you have any suggestions or comments that we can pass along to our Chamber Members for next year.  We really value your input and welcome ideas that can improve on what we offer our visitors.

The Chamber's next endeavor is May 1 for Green Lake's Great City Wide Garage Sale.  The Green Lake Area Chamber will be one of the stops for those looking for a bargain.

The Concerts in the Park Committee is working hard on getting bands scheduled for our “Concerts in the Park” series held Wednesday nights in Deacon Mills Park.  We're hoping to have 8 concerts again this year, starting June 23 through August 18.  Please pencil those dates on your calendar.  Don't forget about the Green Lake County Junior Free Fair scheduled for August 4-8, 2004, which means no concert on August 4.

If you have not receive our 2004 Visitor's Guide just let us know.  We would be happy to send you one or more if you would like.

There is always something to do and/or see in beautiful Green Lake.  Great events, places to shop, dine, stay, play, or just enjoy the sights.

Until next time, take care and hope to see you soon!
