Hello from Green Lake Wisconsin

Another year is over and a fresh New Year has begun; we are looking forward to an even better 2005!  All of the 2004 Chamber events and activities were successful.  We thank those who were able to make it to any or all of Green Lake's events and helping make them successful.  If you have any comments, questions, or ideas about any of our Green Lake events, please let us know.  We try every year to make improvements on our events, and any input you can give us is greatly appreciated.

With the Lake finally icing over and snow making everything white, the sights are picture perfect.

We are working on Winterfest 2005, our first Chamber event of the year, to be held Friday & Saturday, February 11 & 12.  Some activities planned include: Ice Bowling, Ice Golf, Ice Sculpturing (pictured is someone just getting started-they are a sight to see and you can also vote for your favorite), the crowning of our 2005 Miss Winterfest, a Fisheree, Helicopter Rides, Carriage Rides, Live Entertainment, Winterfest Dance, Medallion Hunt, Baked Beans Contest, Games for all ages, Co-ed Volleyball Tournaments, Book Sale at Caestecker Library, Food and Beverages, Raffle (Grand Prize is $750.00 cash, 2nd Prize is $500.00 cash, 3rd prize is $250.00 cash, plus many additional prizes).  New activities planned for this year are: Fishing Seminars, Antique Faire and Sale, Camel Rides and Petting Zoo.  For those of you who would like to receive a Winterfest flier, please let us know your mailing address and we will send it out right away.  Otherwise you can go to the Winterfest Poster Page on our website.  Please note that some activities would depend on the weather.  ALSO, we are in need of vendors (as many as possible) for the Antique Faire & Sale held on February 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., which is being held in downtown Green Lake's Art Deco City Hall.  If interested in participating please e-mail Annie Haselwood by February 1, 2005 at haselwoodemail@yahoo.com.

Green Lake will again be celebrating "Romantic Getaway Month" for February.  Many of our Green Lake Area Chamber businesses have put together packages or specials for February.  Some of the packages may include lodging, dinner, breakfast, flowers, and more.  All of these are guaranteed to help in the romance department (hint-hint).  Let us know if you would like more information, we would be happy to help you, or you can go to the Romantic Getaway Month page on our website.

Our 2005 Visitor's Guides are here, so if you would like one just let us know your mailing address and we will be happy to send you out one or however many you would like.

Please, know that you are always welcome in Green Lake and there is something for everyone to do/see in Green Lake during every season of the year.  Along with events there are many great places to shop, dine, stay, and enjoy!

Until next time, take care and hope to see you soon!
