Hello from Green Lake, Wisconsin! 12/23/2005

Big Green Lake is iced up around the edges, but still has open water.  We do hope to keep the snow and get more ice for all the great winter activities!

Our Christmas by the Lake event went well with all the activities going on.  Pictured is one of the wreaths for the Festival of Wreaths.  Scouting for Toys received a lot of toys, which were donated to the Angel Tree Program.  The Christmas Sweet Shop was a good fundraiser for Green Lake Area Animal Shelter and Lady of the Lake Church, as well as the food and beverages on the Courthouse Lawn were for the Green Lake Rotary Club.  All proceeds from the Gift-wrapping Contest and the Holiday Cookie Contest went to the Food Pantry and Angel Tree Program.  The Silent Auction had many wonderful donated items, gift certificates, including the wreaths from the Festival of Wreaths Contest.  We thank everyone who was able to come and enjoy this event with us.

What would make this an "I can not miss event" for you?  If anyone has any comments/suggestions for Green Lake's 2006 Christmas by the Lake, please write us at Green Lake Area Chamber, P.O. Box 337, Green Lake, WI  54941 or email us at info@visitgreenlake.com.   We are always open to new ideas and/or constructive criticism, which are needed to help us to improve our events year after year.

Our Annual Chamber Christmas party held at JT Skewers was well attended.  Prizes, good food, and fun were had by all that attended.
