Hello from Green Lake Wisconsin! 10/2/2007

Personal Note:  Sorry that the September newsletter is late.  I really tried to get it out before our Golden Days Harvest Festival on September 29 & 30 and as you can tell I did not make it. 

Golden Days Harvest Festival, September 29 & 30, 2007

We hope that you were able to join us for our Golden Days Harvest Festival, Green Lake's largest festival of the year.  There is a lot that goes into this event with food (Service Groups on Saturday and Chamber Restaurants on Sunday), beverages, parade (with many great paid acts), street dance, live entertainment (in 3 locations), car show (very well known), auction (a lot of great items, even an autographed Packer Football was here), raffle (1st prize is $1,000 in Chamber Gift Certificates, 2nd prize is a Hot Air Balloon Ride, 3rd prize is $300 in Chamber Gift Certificate - up to 94 prizes, this year), Craft Fair (in 3 locations), contests (pumpkin carving, pie baking and scarecrow), face painting (in 2 locations), farm market (15 vendors), rides, games, chalk art drawing, mural collaboration and more.  Pictured is our 2007 Harvest Princess and Prince.  This was the first year that we have had a Harvest Prince.

Green Lake Tour of Homes, Sunday-October 7, 2007

The Green Lake Chamber Arts Network is offering their first Green Lake Tour of Homes.  There are six total homes participating around Green Lake from 10am to 5pm, pictured is one of the homes on the tour.   There will also be wine tasting at a few of the homes.  Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the Chamber Office, the Green Lake State Bank or Wallenfang's of Green Lake before Saturday, October 6.  Otherwise tickets can be purchased at each home on Sunday, October 7.  For more information please call the Green Lake Area Chamber at 1-800-253-7354. 

 

October Women's Month-Ladies' Night Out, October 13, 2007

The tables are almost full, so if you were thinking of joining us for an enjoyable evening on Saturday, October 13, please pre-register by calling the Chamber Office at 920-294-3231 or 800-253-7354.  The Green Lake Area Chamber will be celebrating October Women's Month with a Ladies' Night Out, Murder Mystery at JT Skewers located on Highway 23.  The cost is $20 per person, which will include dinner, mystery, door prize drawing and other fun activities.  All other events going on in October are listed on our Calendar of Events - check it out by clicking here!
