Personal Note:  The Green Lake Area Chamber office will be closed from December 22, 2007 to January 1, 2008.  Someone will be checking emails, mail and phone messages periodically. 
The 2008 Visitors Guides will be available at the Chamber office on January 2, 2008.

Winter in Green Lake

We have snow!!  Snowmobilers are out on the Green Lake County trails, which were all opened as of 5pm on December 11.  For up-to-the-minutes trail status please call 920-294-3220 or visit www.greenlakecountysnowmobiletrails.com.  Other fun outside winter activity is sledding, which can be done on Zobel Park's sledding hill and ice fishing.  Please check ice condition before venturing out on the ice.

Christmas by the Lake - December 7 & 8, 2007

some of the activities were Special Christmas Shopping, Silent Auction, Festival of Wreaths, Lighted Horse & Wagon Rides, Dartford Historical Society Past Christmas Trees, Story Time with Mrs. Claus, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Love Lights Dedication, Community Caroling, Sweet Shops, Santa and Mrs. Claus at Santa's House (pictured), Graham Cracker House Making, Lunch with Santa, Decorate a "Christmas Cookie" and Chris Brubeck's Triple Play at Thrasher Opera House.  For more photos please visit our website at www.visitgreenlake.com and click on photos.

We thank everyone who came and made this a Christmas by the Lake to remember. 

 

Winterfest, February 8 & 9, 2008

The Winterfest Committee is working on a great fun Winter event with the crowning of Miss Winterfest during half time of the Green Lake Boys Basketball game on Friday night.  Other activities include outdoor volleyball competition (pictured), food, beverages, games for young and old, soup contest, build a snowman craft, fisheree, helicopter rides, ice golf, ice bowling, hovercraft demonstrations, medallion hunt, live entertainment, horse & wagon rides, raffle, Caestecker Library book sale, vintage snowmobile show and Willy Porter at Thrasher Opera House to end the event on Saturday.  Brochures are here in the office, in the outdoor rack and on-line (click here).
