Green Lake Red Geranium Memorial Day Fund

Red Geraniums have been, for years, the symbol of Green Lake's observance of Memorial Day.  A Red Geranium Memorial Day Fund began last year by a handful of community member interested in reviving the long-standing tradition.  This year, with the generous donations there will be three-gallon pots with Red Geraniums replacing the one-gallon pots of last year placed on each veteran's grave in Dartford and Bluffton Cemeteries.  Along with the generous donations the pumps at both cemeteries, which greatly help with the watering of these plants, have been restored thanks to Stahl Plumbing and Heating of Green Lake and Central Well Drilling of Brandon.  Anyone wanting to help with the Red Geranium watering throughout the summer can stop at the Chamber Office and sign-up.  The Green Lake Red Geranium Memorial Day Fund is pleased to host a Garden Walk on July 12.  For additional information contact Greg Becker at 920-294-3731.
