Help us kick off the holiday season at Green Lake’s annual Keep the Cheer Here event! This year, join us on Friday, November 25 starting at 4:30 p.m., for some cookies and hot cocoa at the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Be sure to bring the whole family, as Santa will be rowing in from the lake at 5:00 p.m.! Enjoy strolling through town and looking at the many decorated trees! The Green Lake Rotary will hold the Tree Lighting Ceremony Friday night at 5:30 p.m. Once the town is lit with Christmas spirit, be sure to take some family photos with Santa!
Come back to town Saturday morning, November 26, for the American Legion’s pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Starting at 11:00 a.m., the Cookie Walk will begin, so be sure to purchase your cookie tins! During the Cookie Walk, there will also be many additional activities including wagon rides from the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, the Holiday Market and Santa’s Nifty Thrifty Shoppe, along with holiday crafts for children at the Town Square Community Center. When you stop in Thrasher Opera House for the Cookie Walk, make sure that you take some holiday family photos and watch the Muppet Christmas Carol Movie! End your Saturday night with a fun game of Ugly Sweater Bingo at the Town Square Community Center!
To end the weekend, enjoy a holiday brunch with Santa Claus at the Heidel House Hotel and Conference Center from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27!
Don’t forget to help your children write their letters to Santa and put them in Santa’s mailbox at the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s office between November 25 and December 12.
We also want to encourage everyone to shop local this holiday season and participate in our Shop Local Bingo Walk being held from November 25 – December 23! This is a great opportunity for you to visit local businesses and shop small with your friends and family!
