Golfing

Grab your clubs and head to one of the four perfectly groomed courses in the Green Lake area. The plush greens, rolling fairways, challenging water holes and incredible views are awaiting for every level of player.

Ranked #3 “20 Best Golf Courses in Wisconsin” by Golf.com and consistently ranked as one of the very best classic courses in the country, The Links Course at Lawsonia is a must-play. Built in 1930, the course has a wide-open Scottish look and feel with deep fairway bunkers and huge elevated greens. Located on the beautiful historic grounds of Green Lake Conference Center, Lawsonia offers two wonderfully unique 18 hole courses on the same property. The Woodlands Course is carved out of the pine forest that borders Green Lake, featuring tree-lined fairways along with severe elevation drops.

Established in 1975 by Larry Packard, Mascoutin is a magnificent 18-hole golf course carved through century-old trees. Giant undulating greens test your putting, sand traps galore wait to swallow an errant shot, and water hazards come into play on the final four holes. With bent-grass fairways and superb conditioning, the layout appeals to golfers of all abilities. The “Blue” nine–added in 1999–features waste bunkering, elevation changes, forced natural hazard carries, river views, water hazards, and a “cliff” hole, making it a spectacular golfing experience.

Tuscumbia is the oldest golf course in Wisconsin. Tuscumbia provides a park-like setting of majestic evergreens and century-old hardwoods, thick rough, tight fairways, and a rolling landscape. A log clubhouse with a large rustic fireplace and charming décor accommodates outing arrangements, dinner parties, banquets, and meetings. Other amenities include motorized carts, 9th-hole snack shop, practice green and fully stocked pro shop.

This challenging 18-hole golf course is carved out of ancient glacier-formed land with an unusual western style apparent by exquisite, natural landscaping and hilltop scenic views of rolling terrain, vast woods, sloped greens, free-roaming peacocks, and spring-fed ponds. The par-72 layout sprawls over 200+ acres of natural paradise and encompasses two separate circles of nine holes, which provide significant elevation changes. The course’s newest nine has more than a dozen pond barriers, traps, trees, and wooded areas. The 15th hole has a trap-protected dogleg left, fairway pond, and a tree-buried green. Clubhouse amenities include a pro shop, practice green, bar, and sandwich shop.
