Alfred T.Peck Foundation Grant Available Now

Green Lake Chamber Offers Grant Program

The Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce (GLACC) is excited to announce their participation in the Alfred T. Peck Foundation Grant.  For the fourth year in a row, grants will be made to support not-for-profit organizations or GLACC members, for charitable projects and programs which generate an increase in tourism to the Green Lake Area.

Longtime supporter of the Green Lake Chamber, Alfred T. Peck was a resident of Green Lake for many years and also owned his own restaurant, Alfred’s.  Peck understood the need to have a fund which will support increased tourism development in Green Lake.  Through his planned giving, he made the founding endowment to what is now the Alfred T. Peck Foundation.

Peck left this fund to aid the GLACC for the promotion of Green Lake tourism and businesses.  The GLACC Board of Directors came together to create a grant process that will award organizations up to $1,000 to encourage growth and new ideas within the community. Last year’s winners were the Angler Young Anglers (AYA), the Pilgrim Center and Operation Migration.

To be funded, project applications must be submitted by January 26, 2015.  The application must describe the project in detail, as well as show how the project will benefit the community, who will be served, and an estimated budget.  Applicable projects will occur between February 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.  Applications are available at the chamber office or via request to  Applications will be reviewed by an ad-hoc committee of the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

Have you considered a planned gift?  A planned gift is a philanthropic gift and legacy that is funded either during the donor’s lifetime or after the donor’s death.  The gift is a part of a larger estate-planning process in which the donor decides how certain assets are distributed.

There are many financial instruments available to the savvy estate planner that can help you achieve your long-term financial goals, allowing you to take care of loved ones while still supporting organizations such as the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
