Youth small mouth bass fishing tournament sponsored by Norton’s Dry Dock, Lund Boats & Mercury Outboards on Big Green Lake, Wisconsin.

I am pleased to inform you that we will be proceeding with the AYA Event on Saturday, June 20th!

While the “Safer at Home” order for the State of Wisconsin has been overturned, we are still very conscious of the risks associated with COVID 19 and will be making some modifications to the traditional format of the event:

– Friday Evening Rules meeting will be broken down into 3 smaller group team meetings – Times to be confirmed
– The Tournament Start & Finish will be changed to a modified trickle (10 boat groups will be released and finish together)
– Weigh-in will proceed as has been done in previous years, with the “Hot Seat” on stage for the current leader.
– Second Place Teams will be presented prizes after weigh-in while on stage.
– Scholarships and Event Prizes: Names will be drawn while teams are fishing and presented to the winning participant immediately after the weigh-in, while on stage.
– The Mercury provided tent & GL Rotary Sponsored BBQ Lunch has been canceled – Sack lunch options handed out the morning of the event are being explored – Details to be confirmed
– The concluding Group photo unfortunately will need to be skipped this year.

Teams are welcome to stay in the Deacon Mills Park to watch the remaining Teams weigh-in and the Lund Ultimate Catch winning Team be presented with Scholarship Checks and Trophies. However, we request that everyone is diligent in maintaining appropriate Social Distancing etiquette out of respect for other Teams and Families in the Park.

Finally, some Angler Captains or Young Anglers may not be comfortable with participating in a group event at this time. If that is the case please contact me directly to discuss options available.
