Green Lake Chamber November 23, 2020 0000 KEEP THE CHEER HERE – Shop Local Bingo Walk & Tree Lighting Event Green Lake WI, November 27, 2020 – December 24, 2020 “The Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging everyone to visit the Green Lake area and to shop local and safely this holiday season by participating in the Shop Local BINGO Walk and Tree Lighting event,” said Lisa Beck, Executive Director of the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. How does it work? The BINGO Walk kicks off on November 27th and runs until December 24th. Shoppers have the chance to win $75 in Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificates by visiting participating stores and restaurants from November 27 through December 24. Simply print out your bingo card HERE, or pick it up in person at the Chamber office, Crossroads Market, or Sassafras Coffee shop and start shopping. You must have a receipt or stamp from the business dated between this time frame to officially mark off a space. Drop off or mail your completed bingo card(s) to GLACC, 550 Mill Street, Green Lake, 54941. Or E-mail a picture of your stamped card (or receipts), along with your name, phone, and email to info@visitgreenlake.com by December 24, 2020. The winners will be randomly drawn on Friday, December 28th at 12 p.m. There are lots of ways to earn a Bingo – but we all win when we support local! Adding to the excitement, on November 27th (Friday after Thanksgiving), the Chamber will be hosting a tree lighting and Santa Row in, located at the Chamber office and Playground Park. The event will kick off at 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber office with socially distanced hot chocolate and pre-wrapped cookies. Hop across the street and watch Santa row into Playground Park at 5:30 p.m. and light the community tree. Beck is encouraging local businesses, residents, and children of all ages to decorate an ornament in memory of a loved one, their business logo, something festive, or just for fun! We recommend that the ornaments are environmentally friendly, no glass please. Ornaments can be placed on the tree beginning the weekend of November 21st prior to the lighting on the 27th. Please be sure to zip tie or adhere your ornament tightly to the tree. Children are also encouraged to write a letter to Santa and drop it in the North Pole mailbox, located in the Chamber’s parking lot until December 23, 2020. For the safety of our attendees, businesses, and volunteers, we strongly encourage wearing a face mask and adhere to proper social distancing recommended guidelines. Families will have the opportunity to take a picture with Santa following the tree lighting. Santa will be socially distanced in the sleigh and families must remain 6’ away when taking their photo. Please be respectful and cooperate with our request so we can have a fun-filled and safe evening.
