The Green Lake Association was named the winner in the Environmental and Conservation Category of the ‘Defender Service Awards!’ The Green Lake Association will receive a specially outfitted Land Rover Defender 130 SUV and $25,000 in prize money, which will be put toward the upkeep and insurance of the vehicle.
Before today, the Green Lake Association did not have the capacity to get a boat into the water and take a sample without the help of our partners. Now that they have won a field vehicle, the Green Lake Association can tow boats, kayaks, trailers, and supplies to do the work that is needed to protect the lake we love—both on the ground and in the water.
