AMISH COUNTRY

Step back in time and spend a day exploring Amish country. One of the state’s largest Amish communities exists just southwest of Green Lake near the towns of Kingston and Dalton. On your road trip you will find many unique Amish shops featuring delicious bakeries, markets, greenhouses, cheese shops, handcrafted furniture and more! The Amish are known for their beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail in the pieces they produce.

This area’s settlement was founded in 1977 and consists of nine congregations today. The Amish are known for simple living and a reluctance to adopt modern technology that would interrupt family time and replace face-to-face conveniences. The Amish value rural life, manual labor and humility.

Remember, no technology means no online hours. So unplug and take a relaxing ride to discover the beautiful Amish countryside.
